For wine-lovers we have wine from the best Hungarian wine-growers. Being loyal to the regional character of the Geréby Mansion, we offer “Cserszegi Fűszeres” as Wine of the House made by János Frittmann, who became Wine-grower of the Year 2007 as well as the Bluefränkisch and the legendary Bluefränkisch Rose.
Cserszegi Fűszeres – "Spicy Cserszegi" 2009
This unique, indigenous Hungarian grape variety, a crossing of Irsai Olivér and Gewürztraminer, blends the qualities of both grapes. Cserszegi's spicy fragrance and gooseberry aroma are reminiscent of Irsai, whilst its spice and scent of orange rind and lychee recall Gewürztraminer. Serve with grilled white meat and cold patés.
Bluefränkisch Rosé 2009
It has a nice onionskin colour and an intensive, fruity scent. It is a perfectly dry rich winewith pleasant acids and a well-balanced, harmonious taste.
It has a deep ruby colour, a nose reminiscent of animals. A nice wine with a full body, well-structured alcohol, and mature tannins.
